The Science Behind Micro-Needling

The Micro-Needling SkinPen is the newest member of the non-surgical skin tightening procedures and it packs an impressive punch. This non-ablative technique punctures tiny needles into the face, creating open channels into the skin and allows our Aesthetician to Infuse a cocktail of skin tightening and renewing serums such as Retin-A, Hylauronic Acid and plant derived stem cells. By causing this type of controlled injury, the treatment stimulates the skins healing response by producing Collagen and Elastin fibers. Down time for micro-needling is minimal and recovery is a breeze! The micro-needling treatment would be considered a deep treatment working from the inside to the outside. If you suffer from wrinkles or acne scars, the micro-needling treatment is for you!

Chemical Peels: A Non-Invasive Treatment Option

Chemical peels are medium depth treatments working the surface from the outside to the inside. Chemical peels are beneficial for all skin types, minimizing deep lines, while encouraging your skin to look its best for a prolonged period of time. If you are squeamish about needles, a chemical peel may give you the results you are looking for in a non-invasive way.

At. Dr. Rotatori’s practice, we offer a variety of chemical peel treatments:

  • Our glycolic peel is the least invasive and can help reduce pore size, pigmentation irregularities, acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles.
  • The acne lift chemical peel uses a high concentration of Beta-hydroxy (salicylic acid) to aggressively treat acne.
  • The vitalize peel works to reverse sun damage and brown spots.
  • Our latest chemical peel, the Vi peel, is a medium to deep peel that dramatically improves skin tone and texture with a blend of treatments that also stimulate collagen and elastin.
