Eyelid Lift: Restore Your Fresh, Active Appearance

Our eyelid lift surgery (blepharoplasty) treats trouble spots around your eyes to revive your youthful appearance by:

  • Removing excess skin and puffiness (fat bags)
  • Tightening skin to reduce wrinkles
  • Opening up tired-looking, droopy eyelids

As with any facial surgery procedure, you want a skilled plastic surgeon with years of experience delivering incredible results. Dr. Rotatori has been voted a top Orlando plastic surgeon by his peers and served as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

What to Expect During Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is done in our office under local anesthesia and oral medications, or on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia:

  • The incisions are made where the natural crease should be in the upper lids and below the lash line in the lower lids
  • Excess fat and skin are removed. If only excess fat is present in the lower lids, it may be removed through an incision inside the lower lids with no external incision or scar (trans-conjunctival blepharoplasty)
  • After surgery, all sutures are usually removed within five days
  • Initial mild discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication
  • Bruising and sensitivity to light last at least a week or two
  • Swelling progressively disappears over several weeks
  • Eye makeup can be used shortly after sutures are removed
  • Contact lenses can be worn when comfortable, which is usually within three to seven days
